Location: Altadena, CA
Grades: TK-8
Caseload: 70 students (approximately 75% elementary)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team, serving students from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. With a caseload of 70 students, primarily in elementary grades, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the communication skills of our diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Deliver direct services with the support of an onsite Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Collaborate with staff across two nearby buildings to ensure continuity of care and support for students.
- Maintain documentation and progress reports for all students on your caseload.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current state licensure and ASHA certification.
- Experience with SIES (Speech and Language Services) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
