Key Responsibilities:
- Remote Speech Therapy: Deliver teletherapy sessions to students with a variety of speech and language disorders, including articulation, language delays, and fluency issues.
- IEP Development: Create, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that are tailored to each student’s unique needs and goals.
- Track Student Progress: Continuously assess student performance and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure progress toward speech and language goals.
- Collaboration with Teams: Partner with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure an integrated approach to student support.
- Accurate Documentation: Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, assessments, and student progress for compliance and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in New York.
- Prior experience working with children, ideally in a school or therapy setting.
- Comfortable using teletherapy platforms and remote tools for virtual sessions.
- ASHA Certification (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students and families virtually.
- Ability to manage a flexible schedule and caseload as a 1099 independent contractor.
