School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Maternity Leave Coverage
Location: Canton, GA
Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Start Date: July 2025 – October 2025 (Potential for Renewal)
Compensation: Starting at $42/hour (Based on Qualifications)
Hours: 35 Hours per Week
Grade Levels: K – 12

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide maternity leave coverage for a school-based position in Canton, GA. This full-time role will begin in July 2025 and extend through October, with the potential for renewal based on district needs. The SLP will work with students across grades K-12, providing essential speech and language services to support communication and academic success.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual student goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans.
- Adapt therapy approaches to support students with diverse learning needs.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Active Georgia SLP license or eligibility to obtain one prior to the start date.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a K-12 setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while being a team player within the school environment.
