Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: St. Paul, Minnesota
Position Type: Part-Time (6 hours per week)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in St. Paul, Minnesota. This is a part-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work with students in a school setting. The SLP will provide speech and language services to students across various grade levels, supporting their communication needs and helping them succeed academically and socially. The position starts immediately and extends through the end of the school year.
Position Details
- Schedule: 6 hours per week
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: Through the end of the current school year
- Caseload: Students across various grade levels with speech and language needs
- Location: St. Paul, MN
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language assessments to determine students' individual needs and strengths.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals for each student.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services in individual and small group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure students are receiving appropriate support.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and any required documentation.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for students to improve their communication skills.
- Stay updated on best practices in speech and language therapy and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid Minnesota State License as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and therapy techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and other professionals.
