Job Title: Full-Time School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Moorpark, California

Employment Type: Full-Time, Immediate Start through May 30, 2025

Pay and Compensation: Pay begins at $55 for fully qualified candidates. 

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our school-based team in Moorpark, CA. This full-time position, ranging from 37-40 hours per week, serves middle and high school students with a caseload of approximately 40 students. The role begins immediately and extends through the end of the 2024-2025 school year (May 30, 2025). Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate the occupational therapy needs of middle and high school students.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions tailored to students' goals and needs.

• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments and promote student success.

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in various settings, including classrooms and therapy rooms.

• Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing abilities, self-care, and other functional skills.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, and services provided.

• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing expert input on student goals and progress.

• Educate school staff and families on strategies to support students’ occupational therapy goals in daily activities.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

• Current California licensure as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility to obtain it.

• Experience working with middle and high school students is preferred.

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
