School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Pay: Starting at $45/hour for qualified candidates

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team remotely and provide essential services to students in Las Vegas, Nevada, while covering an employee on leave. This full-time contract position will begin in February 2025 and run through April 2025, with the possibility of extension based on the needs of the school district. The ideal candidate will have experience using Infinite Campus systems and be able to work effectively in a virtual school-based environment.

As a school-based SLP, you will support students with a range of speech and language disorders, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to promote communication skills and academic success. This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely while making a direct impact on students' development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy services to students remotely, following Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and developing personalized treatment plans.
• Conduct speech and language assessments to evaluate students' communication needs and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop effective strategies and support students' academic achievement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and evaluations in accordance with IEP goals and school district guidelines.
• Utilize the Infinite Campus system to track student data, monitor progress, and report on outcomes.
• Provide consultation and training to teachers and staff regarding communication strategies for students with speech and language disorders.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students' goals and progress.
• Foster a positive and supportive remote learning environment for students to enhance their communication skills.
• Stay current on the latest speech-language pathology research and best practices to ensure effective service delivery.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active State License to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Nevada.
• Experience working with Infinite Campus or similar student information systems for documentation and data management.
• Previous experience working in school-based settings or with children preferred.
• Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and the ability to develop and implement IEPs.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Compassionate, patient, and able to work collaboratively with students, families, and school personnel.

Work Schedule & Setting:

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday, during standard school hours.
• Remote work with flexibility in scheduling, though availability during typical school hours is required for virtual therapy sessions and meetings.
• The position will require working with a caseload of students based in Las Vegas, NV, and will include a combination of therapy sessions, assessments, and IEP meetings.
