Position Overview:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Santa Barbara, CA, for the upcoming school year. This full-time contracting position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment while making a significant impact on students' communication and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address each student’s needs.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students within the school setting.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into students’ academic programs.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of California.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to enhancing students’ communication skills and supporting their academic success.
