Speech Language Pathologist – Bound Brook, NJ Area
Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position with school districts in the Bound Brook, NJ area. This role is perfect for dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping students improve their communication skills and succeed academically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s specific needs and educational goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups, to address speech and language challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the students’ daily educational experiences.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and accommodations.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed to ensure effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and support to school staff and families on strategies to enhance communication and learning.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:
- A valid New Jersey Speech Language Pathologist License.
- A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience in conducting speech and language assessments and providing therapy services in a school setting.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to speech therapy in educational settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with students, families, and school personnel.
