Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP CF) Chapel Hill, NC
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP CF) to join our team in Chapel Hill, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly graduated SLP to gain hands-on experience in a school-based setting, where you will provide services to children with speech and language disorders. You will receive mentorship and support as you begin your career while making a meaningful impact on students' development and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services to students with various speech, language, and communication needs in a school-based setting.
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervisors and other school staff.
- Deliver therapy services to students both individually and in group settings.
- Document student progress, adjust goals and therapy plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings, including setting goals and reviewing progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support students' academic and social communication development.
- Adhere to school policies, procedures, and relevant laws regarding speech-language therapy.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- North Carolina licensure or eligibility to work as an SLP (must obtain licensure during CF).
- ASHA Clinical Fellowship requirements met.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Passion for working with children and helping them achieve their full potential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Organized, professional, and committed to continuous learning and growth.
