Special Education Teacher
Location: Cinnaminson, NJ
Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Cinnaminson, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that accommodates the diverse needs of students with disabilities, helping them to achieve their academic and social potential.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid New Jersey teaching certification in Special Education.
- Master’s degree in Special Education is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying disabilities, including learning, emotional, and physical challenges.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to support student success.
- Create and maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with parents and stakeholders.
- Stay current on best practices in special education and related laws and regulations.
Certifications:
- Valid New Jersey teaching certification in Special Education.
- Additional certifications in behavior management or specific disability areas are advantageous.
