About the Opportunity:
We are excited to announce a temporary opening for a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our educational team in Florence, AZ. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a preschool setting with young learners, helping them develop essential communication skills during a critical time in their growth.

Position Details:
- Setting: Preschool
- Caseload: Approximately 55 students within the preschool age group
- Start Date: Immediate
- End Date: March 2024
As the SLPA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of speech and language intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young children while gaining valuable experience in an engaging educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising SLP in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for preschool-aged students.
- Deliver direct therapy services to address speech, language, and communication goals.
- Use play-based activities and engaging tools to support student learning and progress.
- Collect and document data on student performance and progress toward goals.
- Prepare materials and activities to support therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with school policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Required Education: Associate degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or a related field.
- Certification: Current SLPA licensure or certification in the state of Arizona.
- Experience: Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Compensation:
- Starting pay: $30/hour (depending on qualifications and experience).
