Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - Tracy, CA
Position Overview:
As a School-Based SLPA, you will work under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to assist students with communication disorders. Your role will be vital in helping students achieve their speech and language goals through direct therapy and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing speech and language therapy programs.
- Work with students individually and in small groups.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with educators and other staff to support student success.
- Provide resources and strategies to teachers and parents.
- Attend team meetings and participate in professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Current SLPA certification or license in California.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
