Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Oklahoma City
Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SLPA to join our team and provide essential support to students in a school-based setting in Oklahoma City. You will work under the supervision of a licensed SLP to help students improve their speech and communication skills, making a significant impact on their academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed SLPs in implementing therapy plans for students with communication disorders.
- Provide direct therapy services to students as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Collect data on student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in preparing materials for therapy sessions and IEP meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student development.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and school policies.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Valid Oklahoma SLPA license or ability to obtain one.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow the direction of the supervising SLP.
