Job Description: As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students with speech, language, and communication disorders. This role is essential in helping students achieve their educational goals by implementing speech and language therapy programs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising SLP in providing direct therapy services to students.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment plans.
- Monitor and document student progress and performance.
- Prepare materials and activities for therapy sessions.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress.
- Collaborate with the educational team to support student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all school and district policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field.
- Valid SLPA license/certification in the state of Washington.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
