Job Description:
Soliant is actively seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position in Statesville, NC. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), providing direct therapy services to students with speech and communication disorders. This role will involve assisting with therapy implementation, documenting progress, and supporting students in achieving their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP with speech therapy sessions as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct therapy to students with speech and language difficulties.
- Record and monitor student progress throughout the school year.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to enhance student communication skills.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on student performance.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field.
- Valid North Carolina SLPA license or eligibility.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school environment.
