Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) -Near La Mesa, California

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for a school-based position in La Mesa, CA. This full-time role involves supporting a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in delivering services to students with speech and language disorders. As an SLPA, you will work closely with students, implementing therapy plans, documenting progress, and providing essential assistance to improve communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing direct speech therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Implement treatment plans or protocols developed by the SLP.
- Document and track student progress during therapy sessions.
- Prepare therapy materials and maintain a supportive environment for students.
- Collaborate with the SLP and school staff to ensure each student’s IEP goals are met.
- Communicate with students, teachers, and parents regarding progress and therapy sessions as directed by the SLP.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an SLPA program or Bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Current SLPA license in California.
- Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
