Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) 2024/2025 School Year
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2024/2025 school year in Porter, TX. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services that support students in developing effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy sessions as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Assist in developing and modifying therapy materials and activities.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the SLP.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to setting student goals.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid Texas SLPA license
- Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
