Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Full-Time Arizona
Scottsdale, AZ
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position at a Scottsdale school. This role requires providing speech and language services to a caseload of approximately 40 students in grades K-8. The majority of these students are in self-contained classrooms, with a focus on "functional skills" development. This position is needed immediately and will run through the end of the school year.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing therapy services for students with speech and language delays.
- Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of an SLP, primarily in self-contained classrooms.
- Support students in developing functional communication skills.
- Implement individualized therapy plans and track student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure a supportive learning environment for students.
- Assist in conducting assessments and evaluations when needed.
- Participate in team meetings and assist in developing student goals.
Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant license.
- Must hold a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Experience working with students in self-contained classrooms is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Passion for supporting students with functional skills and developmental needs.
