Full-Time | PreK-2nd Grade | Supervised by SLP
About the Opportunity:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school district in Calumet City, IL. This role involves working under the supervision of a licensed SLP, serving PreK through 2nd-grade students (approximately 40-50 students). If you have elementary school experience and are passionate about helping young learners develop communication skills, we encourage you to apply!
Position Details:
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM
- Wednesday: 8:15 AM - 1:15 PM
- Caseload: 40-50 students (PreK - 2nd grade)
- Location: Calumet City, IL
- Supervision: Works under a licensed SLP
Qualifications:
- SLP Assistant license issued by IDFPR
- ISBE number must be submitted with application
- School-based experience preferred
- Strong preference for elementary school experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech therapy services under SLP supervision
- Assist in implementing IEP goals for students
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with school policies
