Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Kansas City. In this role, you will support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services to individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. Your contributions will be essential in helping clients improve their communication skills and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs in implementing individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions.
- Conduct screenings and gather data on clients’ progress.
- Prepare materials and resources for therapy activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and client interactions.
- Provide support to clients and their families, reinforcing strategies for at-home practice.
- Collaborate with the therapy team to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- Current certification or licensure as an SLPA in Missouri.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience in a clinical or educational setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
