Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) - Richmond, CA
Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Richmond, CA. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide support and services to students with speech and communication challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in implementing therapy plans to improve students’ speech, language, and communication skills.
- Conduct individual or small group therapy sessions in accordance with the IEP goals.
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support the communication needs of students.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or equivalent.
- Valid California SLPA license.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
