Position Overview:
A school district near Milton, FL, is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join their team. This role provides a fulfilling opportunity to work with students of varying ages and abilities, helping them develop essential communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy services to students as outlined by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Document therapy sessions and student progress.
- Assist with the preparation of therapy materials and maintain a safe and engaging therapy environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure the success of students’ speech and language goals.
- Follow district and state regulations related to speech-language services.
Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified as an SLPA in Florida.
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
