Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (Experience Preferred) - Poway, California

Soliant is excited to announce an opening for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Poway, CA. In this full-time role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential speech and language services to students with communication disorders. Your contributions will be vital in helping students achieve their communication goals and enhancing their overall educational experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in implementing therapy plans and interventions for students.
- Provide direct support to students in individual and group therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document student progress and report findings to the supervising SLP.
- Prepare materials and maintain an organized therapy environment.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure effective communication and support for students' needs.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field, or equivalent.
- Current SLPA license in California.
- Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction.
