Speech Language Pathologist - 24/25 - Canton, MA
ProCare Therapy has partnered with a School District near the Gurnee, Illinois area that is looking for a full time speech language pathologist for the school year 2024-2025. Please see additional details about this opportunity below:
Your Role:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
- Enhance Communication: Help students develop critical verbal and non-verbal communication skills essential for success in the classroom.
- Develop Cognitive Skills: Support students in areas such as memory, attention, and problem-solving to improve overall learning outcomes.
- Support Safe Swallowing: Assist students who face swallowing challenges to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Provide Alternative Communication Tools: Empower non-verbal students with resources like communication boards and speech-generating devices.
- Improve Voice Quality: Guide students in achieving healthy pitch, volume, and tone for clear and confident communication.
- Foster Clear Expression: Enable students to communicate effectively through both verbal and written means.
- Diagnose & Treat Speech Disorders: Address issues related to articulation, fluency, and voice disorders to help students reach their full potential.
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $43 to $48, based on experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech and Communication Disorders or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in school-based or educational settings is preferred, though not required.
- Licensure: Hold an active IL SLP license. Clinical Fellows are warmly encouraged to apply!
