Speech Language Assistant (SLPA) | Jacksonville, FL
Position Overview:
Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a school district in Jacksonville, FL, for the remainder of the school year. This is a flexible opportunity with both full-time and part-time options available. As an SLPA, you will play a key role in assisting licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in providing speech and language therapy to students, helping them achieve their communication goals in a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists with providing therapy services to students, following IEPs (Individualized Education Plans).
- Implement therapy plans under the supervision of the SLP, offering both individual and group sessions.
- Track and document student progress, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
- Work with teachers and staff to integrate speech and language strategies into classroom activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district guidelines and professional ethics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
- Florida state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Experience in a school or clinical setting is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
