Speech Language Assistant (SLPA) | Current School Year
Position Overview:
Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a school district in Petaluma, CA for the remainder of the school year. This role offers flexible hours with both full-time and part-time options available. As an SLPA, you will assist Speech-Language Pathologists in providing essential speech and language services to students, helping them develop vital communication skills in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering speech therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs (Individualized Education Plans).
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions under the direction of the supervising SLP.
- Document and track student progress, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech therapy strategies into the classroom environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
- Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California.
- Previous experience in a school or clinical setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and team-oriented skills.
