Hours: 33.75 hours per week
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM
- Wednesday: 8:15 AM - 1:15 PM
Caseload: Approximately 40-50 students
Job Description: Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) to work with elementary students. The ideal candidate will assist in delivering speech therapy services to a diverse caseload of PreK through 2nd-grade students. This is a great opportunity for an SLPA who enjoys working in a school environment and is looking to make a meaningful impact on young learners.
As part of your role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students with speech and language development. You’ll be involved in implementing therapeutic activities, monitoring progress, and supporting classroom teachers and staff to ensure each child reaches their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering speech therapy services for students in PreK through 2nd grade.
- Implement therapy plans and activities under the supervision of an SLP.
- Monitor student progress and assist in data collection.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create a supportive learning environment for students.
- Provide individualized or group therapy sessions based on student needs.
Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant).
- Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and school staff.
