Location: Gainesville, GA
Compensation: $30-38 per hour
Company: ProCare Therapy is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to collaborate with a school district in Gainesville, GA, for the upcoming school year. This position will assist in enhancing students' speech and language abilities to aid in their educational development.
Position Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and supporting individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders, under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages communication growth and student engagement.
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to monitor student progress and provide feedback for instructional adjustments.
- Integrate various teaching strategies, assistive technologies, and resources to meet the unique needs of each student.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
- Current state certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with different teaching methods, accommodations, and assistive technologies.
- Prior experience working with students who have diverse communication needs is preferred.
