Now Hiring: School-Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2024-2025 School Year
Location: Santa Rosa, CA
Compensation: $30-38 per hour
Company: ProCare Therapy is hiring a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work with a school district in Santa Rosa, CA, during the upcoming school year. The role will focus on supporting students' speech and language growth and contributing to their overall academic success.
Position Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and supporting individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders, under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages communication growth and student engagement.
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to monitor student progress and provide feedback for instructional adjustments.
- Integrate various teaching strategies, assistive technologies, and resources to meet the unique needs of each student.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
- Current state certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with different teaching methods, accommodations, and assistive technologies.
- Prior experience working with students who have diverse communication needs is preferred.
