Now Hiring: Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2024-2025 School Year
Location: Winchendon, MA
Compensation: $30–36 per hour
Company Overview: ProCare Therapy is looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a school district in Winchendon, MA for the remainder of the school year. In this role, you will support students in achieving their communication goals and work closely with the speech team to provide effective interventions.
Position Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs under the guidance of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment that promotes student participation and communication progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to track student development and suggest modifications to teaching methods when needed.
- Utilize various instructional strategies, assistive technologies, and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
- Current certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with a range of teaching techniques, accommodations, and assistive technologies.
- Previous experience working with students with communication disorders is highly preferred.
