Now Hiring: Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2024-2025 School Year
Location: Springfield, MA
Compensation: $32–40 per hour
Company Overview: ProCare Therapy is currently hiring an SLPA to support students in a school district in Springfield, MA. The position runs through the end of the school year and focuses on helping students achieve their communication objectives.
Position Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs under the guidance of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment that promotes student participation and communication progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to track student development and suggest modifications to teaching methods when needed.
- Utilize various instructional strategies, assistive technologies, and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
- Current certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with a range of teaching techniques, accommodations, and assistive technologies.
- Previous experience working with students with communication disorders is highly preferred.
