Location: Fall River, MA
Compensation: $30–38 per hour
Company Overview: ProCare Therapy is seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to collaborate with a school district in Fall River, MA, for the current school year. This role involves supporting students with speech and language impairments to help them develop communication skills for academic success.
Position Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs under the guidance of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment that promotes student participation and communication progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to track student development and suggest modifications to teaching methods when needed.
- Utilize various instructional strategies, assistive technologies, and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
- Current certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of California.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with a range of teaching techniques, accommodations, and assistive technologies.
- Previous experience working with students with communication disorders is highly preferred.
