Location: Fall River, MA
Compensation: $30–38 per hour
Company Overview: ProCare Therapy is hiring a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work with a school district in Fall River, MA, during the current school year. The role focuses on assisting students with speech and language challenges to enhance their communication abilities and academic growth.
Position Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs under the guidance of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment that promotes student participation and communication progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to track student development and suggest modifications to teaching methods when needed.
- Utilize various instructional strategies, assistive technologies, and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
- Current certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of California.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with a range of teaching techniques, accommodations, and assistive technologies.
- Previous experience working with students with communication disorders is highly preferred.
