Role Overview:
As a School-Based SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students with communication disorders. Your contributions will be vital in implementing therapy plans and enhancing students’ speech and language skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with speech and language therapy services for students.
- Implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Conduct screenings and support the assessment process.
- Maintain documentation of student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Participate in meetings and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
- State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
