SLPA Rosenburg, TX
Soliant Health is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a dynamic school-based team in Rosenberg, TX. This position is ideal for someone passionate about working with children and helping them overcome communication challenges. As an SLPA, you will be an essential part of the speech and language therapy team, working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help students develop and improve their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Direct Therapy Services: Implement speech and language treatment plans designed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, addressing various speech, language, and communication disorders.

Assess and Report Progress: Assist in monitoring and documenting student progress toward speech and language goals. Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and assessments, ensuring compliance with school, district, and state guidelines.

Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other school personnel to support students’ communication needs in the classroom and other learning environments. Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as necessary to provide input on student progress and future goals.

Material Preparation: Assist the supervising SLP in preparing materials and resources for therapy sessions, including visual aids, games, and communication devices, to keep students engaged and maximize therapy effectiveness.

Screening and Support: Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings as directed by the SLP. Provide support in identifying students who may benefit from speech and language services.

Documentation and Compliance: Ensure that therapy notes and reports are detailed, thorough, and submitted in a timely manner. Maintain confidentiality in line with district, state, and federal regulations (e.g., FERPA).
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders is preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid SLPA license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
- Experience: Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred but not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply!
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Compassionate and patient when working with children.
