SLP Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify communication challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure students receive the support they need.
SLPA Responsibilities:
- Assist the SLP in delivering therapy sessions to students.
- Document and track student progress during therapy sessions.
- Support the SLP in implementing therapy strategies in the classroom environment.
Requirements:
- SLP: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA certification, and valid state licensure required.
- SLPA: Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program and valid state certification required.
