Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
- Completion of an accredited Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) program
- Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in California
- Previous experience working as an SLPA in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologist in conducting assessments and evaluations of clients’ speech and language abilities
- Implement therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP to address clients’ communication disorders
- Provide direct therapy services to clients under the supervision of the SLP
- Collaborate with the SLP, educators, and other professionals to support clients’ goals and progress
- Assist in maintaining accurate documentation of therapy sessions and client progress
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
