Job Overview: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Pine Grove, PA. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to work within a school setting for the entire school year. As an SLPA, you will collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support students in achieving their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans.
- Conduct speech and language screenings under the direction of an SLP.
- Provide direct therapy services to students based on the guidance from the supervising SLP.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student development.
- Support classroom teachers in promoting effective communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field.
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to student interactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to various educational environments.
Compensation:
- Hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
- Contracted through Soliant Education with potential for renewal based on performance and district needs.
