Are you a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) looking for an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of middle school students? We are currently seeking a dynamic SLPA to join our team in Bedford, MA, and contribute to the development of communication skills in our middle school population.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in the middle school setting.
- Collaborate with the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and other members of the educational team to assess, plan, and implement effective intervention strategies.
- Conduct screenings and assessments to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address speech and language goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the overall well-being and success of students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
- Massachusetts state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant
- Previous experience working with middle school students is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
