Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. This position will involve working with K-12 students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), supporting their communication and social skills development. The SLPA will collaborate closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and other educational professionals to deliver high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist SLPs in the implementation of therapy plans and activities tailored to the needs of students with ASD.

Conduct individual and group sessions to support communication, language, and social skills development.

Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to the supervising SLP and adjusting activities as needed.

Collaborate with teachers and parents to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and home environments.

Support classroom integration of communication tools and strategies.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of sessions and student progress.
Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field

State Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Texas

Experience working with children, preferably with ASD or other developmental disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children with special needs
