(SLP) Speech Language Pathologist - (MAT) Maternity Leave Position - Orange, CA
Orange, CA
A school in Orange, CA is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide maternity leave coverage starting at the beginning of the school year and continuing through December, with a high chance of extension. This position involves working with a diverse caseload of approximately 45 students, including those in regular education and mod/severe programs for TK-6th grades.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments.
- Utilize AAC techniques and tools effectively to support students with communication needs.
- Collaborate with another SLP who will be on-site 3 days a week and receive SLPA support.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services provided.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid California state SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA highly preferred due to supervision requirements.
- Proven experience with AAC is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to working onsite.
