Position Overview: As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Special Education Teachers, and other support staff. You will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other team members to support students' communication goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.
  • Educate staff and parents on strategies to support communication development.
  • Stay current with best practices and evidence-based interventions in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Maine SLP license or eligibility for licensure
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
