Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain CCC
- Texas state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school setting is preferred
- IEP experience preferred but not required
- Experience with AAC devices
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' communication and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve patients' speech, language, cognition, and swallowing skills
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated care
