Soliant Health is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist in Wyandotte, MI. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team and deliver exceptional speech and language services within a school environment. This position will involve working with students from grades K-12 for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year.
As a Speech Language Pathologist with Soliant Health, you will play a pivotal role in helping students improve their communication skills, academic performance, and overall success. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), providing therapy sessions, and collaborating with educators and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of students' speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results
- Provide both direct and indirect therapy services to students
- Monitor and document students' progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ educational goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Active or pending state Speech Language Pathologist license in Michigan
- ASHA certification is a plus but not required
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and effectively
