Seeking Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for Vacant Position in Plainfield, IL
Soliant Health is pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist in Plainfield, IL. We are looking for a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team and provide high-quality speech and language services within a school environment. This role will involve working with students from grades K-12 for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year.
As a Speech Language Pathologist with Soliant Health, you will be instrumental in helping students enhance their communication abilities, improve their academic performance, and achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), delivering therapy sessions, and collaborating with educators and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of students' speech and language skills
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results
- Provide both direct and indirect therapy services to students
- Track and document students' progress and make necessary adjustments to therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ educational goals
- Attend IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications
- Stay updated on the latest practices and advancements in speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Active or pending state Speech Language Pathologist license in Illinois
- ASHA certification is a plus but not required
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload
- Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered care
