A school district near Wayland, MA, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join their team. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, allowing flexibility while providing essential speech and language support services to students. The SLPA will work under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to help students develop their communication skills and succeed in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized speech and language therapy plans.
- Work with students in one-on-one and group settings to support speech and language development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to enhance student progress.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in assessments and therapy planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in Massachusetts.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
