School Speech-Language Pathologist assistant (SLPA) Job
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Thomasville, NC area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students while working within a collaborative educational environment.
Position Requirements:
Qualified applicants must meet all local and state requirements to be considered for this position, including but not limited to:

An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance, Communication Disorders, or a related field from an accredited institution.

A valid North Carolina SLPA license issued by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
-
Completion of required clinical fieldwork under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
-
Compliance with North Carolina state background checks and fingerprinting requirements for employment in school settings.

Adherence to all district policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
As an SLPA, you will support students with speech and language challenges by:

Assisting licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering therapy services.

Implementing treatment plans designed by an SLP to enhance student communication skills.
-
Providing one-on-one and group interventions to support student success.
-
Documenting student progress and reporting findings to the supervising SLP.

Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student development.

Participating in professional development and training opportunities.
