Job Overview:
Soliant Education is seeking a skilled and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team and support students in the Thermal, CA area for the remainder of the current school year. This position offers both full and part-time hours with the potential for contract renewal based on performance. As an SLPA, you’ll play a crucial role in helping students overcome speech and language challenges, ensuring their success in the classroom and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering speech therapy services to students
- Conduct screenings and help with speech therapy assessments
- Support students in small groups or one-on-one sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Provide assistance with speech and language goals as directed by the SLP
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders or a related field
- California State SLPA License
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with students of all ages
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Position Details:
- Full or Part-Time (Flexible hours)
- Hourly contract position
- Immediate start through the end of the school year, with potential for renewal
- Competitive hourly rate
