SLPA Requirements to Work in California Schools
To be eligible for a school-based SLPA position in California, you must:

Hold a valid SLPA license issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board (SLPAHADB)

Meet California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) standards for working in public schools

Provide proof of completion of a Board-approved SLPA program or equivalent coursework

Hold a valid CPR certification

Pass a background check and TB test, as required by California schools

Be authorized to work in the United States
