About the Position
We are seeking a passionate and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team near Powell Point, TX! This school-based position offers the exciting opportunity to work with students from Pre-K through 12th grade, helping them build vital speech and language skills for success in school and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in delivering therapy services to students.
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Support students in improving their speech, language, and social communication abilities.
- Document student progress and communicate with the SLP to adjust therapy as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure a holistic approach to student success.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Current Texas state license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
- Proficiency in technology for documentation and virtual therapy when required.
